Google + against the pen names

Google decided that at the end of this July, the Google profiles in private mode would be deleted. Obligation for the users of Google + to use their real name at the risk of deletion of the account.

Katie Watson, in charge of the global communications and the public affairs of Google expressed herself on this subject on the site New World Notes concerning the deletion of accounts the user of which had put a false name. According to Katie Watson it would testify of the will of Google to make of its social network a real world where we find real persons.

On the other hand, the choice of nicknames in the section "alias" is possible, so that the contacts in a virtual world can meet.

Nevertheless, Obligation to have its real name at the top of the profile at the risk of deletion of the account. This is thus a difference in front of the other social networks as Facebook where it is possible to modify the real name.

The firm stays in its coherent speech of transparency. On July 31st, 2011 Google + should be available for everybody.
